Introducing Kirkland Chiropractor, Dr. E. Stephen Saunders

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Saunders has practiced chiropractic in Washington and in Minnesota.  He has been active in teaching, research and professional board activities within chiropractic.

He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Washington State Chiropractic Association in 1997 and 1998. He worked with the International Spinal Health Institute to help establish a chiropractic clinic in the Russian Far East, participating in teaching exchanges to Vladivostok in 1997 and 2000.  He co-founded the Chiropractic Leadership, Educational Advancement & Research Institute with Dr. Dennis Woggon in 2001 to teach field doctors and interns advanced techniques in spinal structural rehabilitation and to conduct research.    He was the lead author of an article was published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, in April 2003.

Dr. Saunders has also worked as a locum tenens, providing vacation relief for chiropractors on a temporary basis.  Since November 2003 he has worked in a multidisciplinary office in Edmonds with chiropractors, medical doctors, naturopaths and physical therapists.

He and his wife Michele enjoy sailing, hiking, and organic gardening. They are both passionate advocates of natural health.  In their outdoor activities they marvel at the complexity and order of benevolent nature that provides everything people need for life and health.

Dr. Saunders is pleased to return to a family practice setting in Kirkland, offering personalized care, individual treatment plans and private offices. The focus of the new practice is providing health building treatment and advice through care that is customized to the needs and preferences of the patient.
